Cambodian PM Leaves for Switzerland to Attend World Economic Forum

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen left Cambodia in the early morning on Saturday 21 May to go to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum.

The Royal Government of Cambodia's special plane departed with the Prime Minister and the delegation from Phnom Penh International Airport at around 12:50 am on Saturday 21 May.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia has confirmed that Prime Minister Hun Sen is expected to hold work meetings with the leaders of some countries, as well as receive courtesy calls from political and business dignitaries as well as hold a meeting with Cambodians living in Switzerland and other European countries.

During his stay in Switzerland, the Prime Minister will deliver the opening speech of "Cambodia Night", an event organized by the WorldBridge Group with the aim of promoting foreign business in Cambodia.

The Prime Minister will also deliver a closing speech with stakeholders on "Strategic Perspectives on ASEAN" and at an informal luncheon with world economic leaders under the theme "Restoring Peace and Order" which will take place on 22-26 May 2022, in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
